7 YEAR CRISIS AS ANOTHER DEVELOPMENT DEVELOPMENT

We are used to taking the word “crisis” in a negative way. However, adhering to positive thinking, one can read the interpretation in a completely neutral sense. This is a turning point, a transitional moment or, when it comes to growing up a child, is the next stage of development.

The transitional stage between preschool age and the first textbooks plays a very important role in the development of the child and its formation as an independent person. During this period, a certain misunderstanding between children and parents is characteristic, since during this particular stage the child begins to consciously adopt the features of parental behavior, try specific social roles. This, in turn, requires patience and emotional flexibility from parents. Moms and dads should know how to overcome the crisis of 7 years, what to do and how to cope with it.

WHEN DOES THE CRISIS 7 YEARS AT THE CHILD BEGIN?
When a child goes to school, his status changes. As a rule, parents, collecting children in the first grade, accompany the process with the words: “I’ve become an adult, I’m a schoolboy already!”, “You’re going to adulthood!” Some children even go to an educational institution and to developing circles on their own, without adult support .

The age crisis of 7 years is not an easy period for yesterday’s kindergartener. A child of primary school age needs to quickly adapt to the new atmosphere of the school team, social status, discipline.

It is only natural that the behavior of a son or daughter changes. In response, he also demands that he treat himself as an adult member of the family.

Psychologists say that in the transition period, the student may appear new behaviors. A first grader can become irritable, quick-tempered, or vice versa – become isolated in himself. The child begins to compare himself with other children, underestimating his abilities. Trying to excel in the eyes of adults, sneaks at classmates.

HOW DOES A 7-YEAR CRISIS AT A CHILD?
How does the difficult state of mind of a girl or boy manifest? Parents can recognize the crisis period of the child on their own, you only need to know the symptoms of the crisis, signs and its features. It is worth paying attention if the behavior of a son or daughter has changed dramatically within six months. The child began to snap and be rude to his relatives, clown, talking in a voice other than his own. The schoolboy abandoned his favorite toys, became interested in communicating with older children.

Age crises have one thing in common – denial. At 7 years old, this is due to the fact that the first grader really wants to become an adult. The child thinks that with going to school, all the rules of “sad life” must undergo changes and begin to resist everything that parents still impose. He wants to decide for himself what to wear, where to go, that is, to behave fully as an adult member of the team.

How long does the crisis last 7 years?
To cope with the crisis, you need to know how long it lasts. The crisis of 7 years begins gradually, as the child realizes the possibility of independent choice of social role and behavior. Most often this happens in the first year of school attendance. Do not think that the crisis has only psychological roots. The development of the child also proceeds actively in physiology: rapid growth, an increase in strength and physical activity – all this affects his behavior and character.

The crisis of 7 years in a child ends when the new worldview system is firmly and smoothly settled in the mind.

REASONS FOR THE CRISIS 7 YEARS
The causes of the crisis may be different. At this age, the child already consciously operates with such emotional states as sadness, joy, envy and so on. Looking at parents, children under 7 years of age adopt some character traits and behavior subconsciously, without using them to obtain benefits or manifest their own personality. After seven, this skill progresses, and cunning, tricks, and blackmail come into play. This is not the same child that parents are used to during early childhood. This is a new form of personality to be reckoned with.

Another reason is changes in the child’s moral coordinate system. A look at the life of teachers and classmates can be very different from the picture that the parents painted. Therefore, your son or daughter needs time to understand the changes that are taking place and to develop for himself his own moral reference system.

In addition to the above. The child’s feeling of his body changes, which from the child gradually begins to turn into the body of a teenager. With new strength, speed and flexibility you need to learn how to handle. That is why during this period it is especially useful to pay sufficient attention to sports and a healthy lifestyle.
